Jamie McMurray broke through to claim his first win of the season Sunday, as he took the checkered flag in the AMP Energy 500 at Talladega Superspeedway.

Jimmie Johnson finished eighth on Sunday and continues to lead the driver standings. Johnson holds a 181-point lead on Mark Martin with three races to go.

Following McMurray over the line was Kasey Kahne in second, Joey Logano in third and Greg Biffle in fourth. Jeff Burton was fifth, Michael Waltrip was sixth and Elliott Sadler was seventh. Rounding out the rest of the Top 10 were Johnson, Brad Keselowski and Dale Earnhardt Jr.

The drivers of NASCAR return to the track next week at Texas Motor Speedway in the Dickies 500.
